Mike, it was good to see you again. Hopefully we can get a good turnout for the club at Baker's this year too.

This was the highlight of my grandsons day! We we're fifth in line with the first group and when he saw you all waiting to join in, he said "Wow! This is so cool!"

Camaro's out from under the car cover, cleaned, and insured. Started right up and running strong, getting ready for its 8th summer!

Any other 5th gen owners had their Door Striker come loose? I noticed yesterday my driver's door wasn't closing, so I went to check out the latch, but saw instead that both screws for the Door Strike...

I have not heard of this one yet. Very strange that they would loosen up.

I don't have enough HP to vibrate my car and loosen the striker bolt.

Happens on my '69 a few times a year, I blame it on the wheelies.

Tim, my powertrain and exhaust are all original, so I would have had to believe I don't have enough horsepower/volume to vibrate anything loose either...

From my little corner of the industry:

Google launched version 2.0 of Android Auto and, in doing so, put the automotive aftermarket on high alert. The updated app now makes Android Auto available direc...

Nick, I posted this because there was a previous discussion about modding 5th gen Camaros to get CarPlay or Android Auto. The words and opinions aren't mine, just a copy/paste to let club members know all they will need is their phone, the specific CP/AA app, and either a Bluetooth or USB connect...

I have both apps in the new car. I have an Apple phone so I use CarPlay. I'm not a tech guy, but I like it. Realtime NAV displayed on your dash alone is worth it. No need to upgrade to higher models just to get NAV anymore, which requires upgrades and new maps over time.

Mike i see. I thought it was your words either way, what i said is what i feel, lol. Doesn't matter who reads it. But yes i think it is a good thing AA is like it is now. Autos have always lagged behind with phone mirroring tech.

As a matter of fact, I DO indeed still have a rotary dial phone here at home. It's not hooked up right now, but I do still have it.
So HA!
